After leaving government work in 2019, I taught myself SEO and built content sites that grew to over 100,000 monthly visitors through organic search alone. That success let my family travel the country for years before we settled here in St. George.

When we moved to town, I noticed something: most local businesses here aren't positioned on the main drags like Bluff or Sunset. They rely heavily on word-of-mouth and Google Maps listings. That works until it doesn't – especially with how search is changing.

Why AI Search Matters Now

In 2022, I shifted focus to AI development and deployed apps to the App Store. By 2025, it became clear that local businesses without proper web presence will be invisible when people ask AI tools "who's the best [service] near me?"

That shift is happening now, not in five years.
